"Boundary fences," which are fences built on or near a property line to designate your property from your neighbor's.
Under Florida law, adjoining landowners are under no legal obligation to erect fences dividing their land. If one landowner does decide to build a boundary fence, the adjoining landowner is not obligated to share in this expense unless it was agreed to in advance.
Generally we can meet you within a few days of the initial contact. We try our best to get all fence quotes out within 24-48 hours. We normally don’t quote while we are measuring. We believe your investment is important and want to have some time to work through all of the details before sending out a quote.
Depending on scope of work, We have 4 inhouse crews, most fence builds take 1-3 days depending on the scope of work.
The property owner is responsible for the location of the fence wholly on their property and for compliance with the provisions of the Florida Building Codes.
A Fence Builders, Inc will handle the permit process from beginning to end if agreed at the time of approval. We handle the design, layout and inspections.
You can file for your own permit in all communities located in Palm Beach Counties as an
“owner-builder” if you are the owner of the residential property.
If it is not something you have done however, you should not undertake it lightly. There are multiple requirements to complete in order to have a permit application accepted. Some of them include filing a notice of commencement, getting waivers from easement holders (utilities), in some cases providing an approval letter from your Home Owners Association, and even obtaining a permit first from a drainage district.
A Fence Builders, Inc can provide you with anything you need and can even fill out the HOA request. We just cannot submit it for you. The best thing to do is contact your HOA and download the ARC application and send us the information they need to get started.

Yes. All of our posts for wood, chain-link, PVC/vinyl, and aluminum fences are set from 18-24 inches of
wet mixed concrete (not a dry mix) to ensure stability for a straight and plum appearance over many years.
We highly recommend it, especially if there was no fence to begin with. A prior conversation will give your neighbors time to remove outdoor furnishings, etc. that might encroach on the property line and decrease the surprise-factor of coming home to a new fence erected along the property line.
Pressure treating wood involves infusing it with a long-lasting preservative by putting the timbers under immense pressure and forcing the chemical deep inside through its pores. We highly recommend using pressure-treated wood versus non- for fencing in Florida, as the weather here can break down non-treated wood very quickly.
Yes. However, for optimal results, the wood should be allowed to cure first, which can take six months to a year. Fresh pressure-treated wood, which repels paint, appears greenish in color, while fully cured pressure-treated wood has more of a whitish, ashen color.
Wood is ideal If you want a low-cost solution that will last for 10 to 15 years before requiring maintenance. Wood fencing can rot over time.
We use galvanized ring shank nails. Some customers request screws, which we can accommodate as an upgrade and as an extra cost.
PVC is a type of vinyl and is one of the most popular construction materials on the market. PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. When installing a vinyl fence, PVC is the only type of vinyl used; therefore it is usually called vinyl fencing.
